Horseshoe Lake is a beautiful lake in the Bighorn Mountains. Horseshoe Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Upper Paint Rock Lake Campground is a wonderful local campground, and if you need a site to stay The Passage Resort at Big Horn is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Paintrock Creek, and not far from Horseshoe Lake you'll hit upon Emerald       Lake which is a lovely lake. It is very dry here at Horseshoe Lake usually; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow; February on the other hand is the driest. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Bighorn Mountains. A magnificent spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Horseshoe Lake is Tensleep Creek, and if you came to camp Lake Geneva Campground is a splendid spot to do that. What                  a site this is for outdoors people. Lakes are great; Lakes of the Rough is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Horseshoe Lake, and the North High Park Trail offers hiking at its best. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 60's at Horseshoe Lake, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, commonly in the 30's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Horseshoe Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Big Horn Ski and strap some skis to your feet. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Bighorn Mountains rules! A great location in close proximity to Horseshoe Lake is Edelman Pass, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Main Paint Rock Trail.
