     If you need a place to stay Cody Cowboy Village is a fine choice, and there's some flowing water nearby, Paint Creek is a stream you can check out while here. Hopkins Reservoir is a good spot of normal precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. While you're here at Hopkins Reservoir you can take a hike along the Morrison Trail; there are some nice whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. This  
   lake is so wonderful. Hopkins Reservoir is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Sheridan Campground is a good spot to camp nearby, and Red Lodge Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Custer National Forest Trail, unsurprisingly you could also go to Tippecanoe Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. Dry warm beds await you at The Cody, and
 
               if you've had enough of Hopkins Reservoir, Paint Creek Reservoir is close by. You don’t have to go far from Hopkins Reservoir to see the water at Hopkins Dam; there's whitewater on Shoshone River for all you adrenaline junkies.
For the period of the warm days of summer at Hopkins Reservoir highs are frequently in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; night lows during the winter for Hopkins Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Yellowstone Valley Inn is a great campground nearby.
