     Wyoming has many beautiful lakes and Hogan Reservoir is one of them. The Cody is a tremendous site to get some rest. Lakes are great; Luce Reservoir is a lake that's in the vicinity of Hogan Reservoir. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is bountiful here in the Absaroka Range. Hogan Reservoir is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Yellowstone Valley Inn is a wonderful place to camp nearby; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Morrison Trail.  
   At Luce Dam in the neighborhood of Hogan Reservoir there are some exciting things to see, and nearby you hit upon the Custer National Forest Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail.
Summertime highs at Hogan Reservoir generally tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Hogan Reservoir dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. There's no way someone can get bored
 
               here in the Absaroka Range. Not far from Hogan Reservoir, you'll find Tippecanoe Reservoir which is a pretty lake; Dead Indian Campground is a brilliant campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and there's some flowing water nearby, Newmeyer Creek is a stream you can stop by while you're here.
Hogan Reservoir is located in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Hogan Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Cody Cowboy Village is a good place to spend a night or two, and Shoshone River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Hogan Reservoir is pretty dry commonly; during the month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is February.
