Hog Park Reservoir lays in the shadow of the 8464, and 8464 is uncomplicated to spot from Hog Park Reservoir. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Hog Park Reservoir. If you came to camp Bottle Creek Campground is a great location to do that; Water Valley Fish and Recreation Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out. This lake is so wonderful. While you're       here at Hog Park Reservoir, you could also stop at pretty Manzanares Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elk River. Yeah, come up here to the Park Range for a great time. Hog Park Reservoir is right by the Fireline Trail; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop by Hog Park Dam. Hog Park Reservoir is regularly a quite dry location; May is the month that gets the most rain while January is usually the driest month. The Ellis Trail                  offers hiking at its best, and if you need a site to stay CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a brilliant choice. There's magnificent hiking along the Fireline Trail; Hog Park Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lazy Acres Court is a great local campground. The Park Range scenery is always beautiful. Be careful coming to the Park Range, you might not ever want to go home again. Take a side trip to Camper Creek; drift down the rapids of Encampment River in a kayak. Summertime highs at Hog Park Reservoir frequently tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's.
