On a great day at Highway 130 Lake you can take a hike along the Medicine Bow Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Fishhook Lake. Not much rain falls here at Highway 130 Lake; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Snowy Range are so inviting noone can resist,       and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Circle Trail. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on North Platte River, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Lakes Trail. If you came to camp Lewis Lake Campground is a good place to do that; you don’t have to go far from Highway 130 Lake to catch a glimpse                  of the water at Little Brooklyn Lake Dam. This lake is so wonderful. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area close to Highway 130 Lake has to offer. There's so much to do here at Highway 130 Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Upper Nash Fork Campground is a pleasant site for that, and Browns Peak can be made out from Highway 130 Lake. Highway 130 Lake is one of the lakes here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Summertime highs at Highway 130 Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's.
