Battle Creek Campground is a great campground nearby, and going for a hike along the Sandstone Divide Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. You're most likely hooked on lakes, Grieve Reservoir is one of those close by, and Horse Mountain is clearly visible from Highline Reservoir. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Highline Reservoir has it all. Places like Reader       Basin are great to explore, and swing by Fly Creek it's a brilliant location to stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Little Sandstone Campground is a splendid local campground, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Bears Ears Trail. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Highline Reservoir highs are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's; overnight lows at                  Highline Reservoir through the wintertime usually plunge into the 10's. Highline Dam has wonderful water scenery and it's in the vicinity of Highline Reservoir, and Elk Run Inn is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. This is a perfect vicinity for folks who like lakes. Lower Cogdill Lake is a lake nearby; if you're here you can take a hike along the Green Ridge Trail.
