    Highland Park Lakes is a lake worth visiting. If you need a spot to stay Wingate by Wyndham Sheridan WY is a delightful choice. For the period of the summertime at Highland Park Lakes highs are usually in the 60's. Summer night lows fall down to the 30's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 20's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Highland Park Lakes tend to be in the 0's. If you come at the right time of year, Tensleep Creek offers some magnificent  
   whitewater, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Cliff Lake Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Cross Creek Campground is a great campground nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Penrose Park Trail. Highland Park Lakes is located in the Bighorn Mountains. Highland Park Lakes gets very little rain; through the month of April you get the most snow around here while February is usually the driest month.
All year is a great time in the Bighorn
 
               Mountains if you like the outdoors. If you came for an overnight stay Highland Park Campground is a glorious spot to camp, and going for a hike on the Solitude Trail is always a great adventure.
