The snow is magnificent at Antelope Butte. If you came to camp Cross Creek Campground is a pleasant place to do that, and a pretty lake like Highland Park Lakes is a good place to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Tensleep Creek, and the Penrose Park Trail is a pleasant hiking trail nearby. Highland Lake is regularly       a rather waterless place; all through the month of April you get the most snow around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. And if that's not enough there's a lot more exciting stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. There's so much to do here at Highland Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Highland Park Campground is a delightful site for that, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Cliff Lake Trail. The warmest time of the year                  at Highland Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 60's with night lows in the 30's. During the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's, and night lows through the winter for Highland Lake tend to be in the 0's. Do have a look at Peggy Lake in the neighborhood of Highland Lake, it's a beautiful lake; there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Solitude Trail.
