Heron Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. While you're here at Heron Pond you will meet lots of folks from nearby Jackson, and you can stay the night at Signal Mountain Campground. During the warmest time of the year here at Heron Pond, high temperatures typically get into the 70's, and the night is a tad chillier of course, usually in the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight

Trail. There's so much to do here at Heron Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lizard Creek Campground is a pleasant spot for that. Man, is there plenty of exciting stuff to do in the vicinity of Heron Pond. Visit Second
Creek since you're here at Heron Pond; dry warm beds await you at Togwotee Mountain Lodge.
If you haven’t been to Grand Teton National Park, you ought to schedule some time for it since you're here. There is a good hiking trail
in close proximity to Heron Pond called the Jenny Lake Moraine Horse Trail, and glide down the rapids of Ditch Creek in a kayak. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Heron Pond; most of the snow falls throughout January, and
July is when it's the driest.
If you come at the right time of year, Snake River offers some brilliant whitewater; tremendous skiing awaits you at Jackson Hole.
