Going for a hike on the Lanning Trail is always a delightful adventure, and Dean Spring is a scenic place to take a look at while you're at Hemler Reservoir. At Hemler Reservoir during the summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's while Hemler Reservoir nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. Yeah,       come up here to the Black Hills for a great time. There are great places to look at along the Table Mountain Trail. Lakes? Sure, Cook Lake is close at hand. This lake is one of the great places here in the Black Hills. Visit Cow Creek since you're here at Hemler Reservoir, and why not camp at Hawken Ranch and Hawken Guest Ranch if you're here at Hemler Reservoir. Be careful coming to the Black Hills, you might not ever want to go home again. Since you might                  be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Lake Cook, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Sundance Mountain Inn. Don't leave Hemler Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Rauth Trail; camping is available at Mountain View Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Hemler Reservoir is commonly a quite dry site; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Any time is a tremendous time at Hemler Reservoir if you go for the outdoors.
