Take a hike on the Mount Sheridan Trail, and you can stay the night at Flagg Ranch. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Snake River, and dry warm beds await you at Colter Bay Village. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Harebell Trail is tremendous fun, and Beaver Creek is near Heart Lake and is always a pleasure to stop at. Put some time aside to spend at       Prometheus Spring if you're here at Heart Lake. There's so much to do here at Heart Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lizard Creek Campground is a tremendous spot for that. At Heart Lake through the summer months highs are in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 30's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's, and night lows at Heart Lake during the wintertime generally drop into the-10's. So much cool stuff                  to do at Heart Lake, so little time. Heart Lake is right by the Heart Lake Trail.
