Hiking is a popular thing to do around Heart Lake; Mount Sheridan Trail is a tremendous local trail, and you can run the rapids of Snake River. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Heart Lake. There's so much to do here at Heart Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Flagg Ranch is a splendid spot for that; there's nice hiking along the Heart Lake Trail. Looking for something near Heart Lake? Sheridan       Lake is in the vicinity; Hatchet Resort Restaurant & Bar is a great place to get some rest. At Heart Lake during the summertime highs are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 30's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Heart Lake plunge into the-10's. The Harebell Trail offers hiking at its best, and Beaver Creek is next to Heart Lake and                  is always a delight to have a look at. The annual rain here at Heart Lake is about average; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. If you came to camp Lizard Creek Campground is a fine place to do that. This lake is so wonderful.
