This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Game Creek Trail; get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Paintrock Creek. Yeah, come here to Heart Lake for a magnificent time. A tremendous nearby hotel is Wingate by Wyndham Sheridan WY. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. There's whitewater on Tongue River       for all you adrenaline junkies; Weston Point is something you shouldn't miss if you're here. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Heart Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 60's with night lows in the 30's. All through the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Heart Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Really great skiing awaits you at Big Horn Ski, and the panorama of Black Rib is stunning. So much                  enjoyable stuff to do here at Heart Lake, too tremendous to be true. Heart Lake is right by the Edelman Trail; a lake nearby is Lake Mirage. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Bighorn Mountains. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Antelope Butte, and you can stay the night at Twin Lakes Campground. Around Heart Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow, and February is when it's the driest. If you need a spot to stay The Passage Resort at Big Horn is a good choice; hiking along the Cliff Lake Trail is nice fun. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Heart Lake, you could also stop at close by Crescent Lake. There's so much to do here at Heart Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Coffeen Park Campground is a fine place for that.
