High temperatures at Haygood Reservoir throughout the days of summer are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Haygood Reservoir fall into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Inn at Alcova is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and Haygood Reservoir is not far       at all from Casper. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Granite Mountains. A tremendous spot to camp here at Haygood Reservoir is Fort Casper Campground; North Platte River is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. Go for a hike on the Bates Hole Stock Trail, and Haygood Dam has good water scenery. At Haygood Reservoir you don’t see much rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while January is regularly the driest month.                  A good close by hotel is Riverview Inn, and why not camp at Fairside Trailer Svc since you're here at Haygood Reservoir. Yeah, come here to Haygood Reservoir for a splendid time. Bear Creek flows through this area.
