If you are traveling by, why not stop by Hauser Lake. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail. And that's not all there is to do here in the Absaroka Range. Stay the night at Long Lake Campground, and the Lewis and Clark Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. had enough of Hauser Lake, Fort Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. From a rain point of view Hauser Lake is a reasonably common location; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; October is the month
with the least moisture. All through the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Hauser Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 30's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Hauser Lake.
