Summer at Hatchet Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's; night lows at Hatchet Lake during the wintertime mostly dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Circle Trail. Hatchet Lake gets very little rain; most of the rain falls through May while February is the month       with the least amount of precipitation. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Medicine Bow Mountains. If you need a site to stay The Sage And Sand Motel LLC is a magnificent choice; First Enlargement of Wiant Dam is not far at all from Hatchet Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in close proximity to Hatchet Lake. There are some glorious whitewater spots on North Platte River; if you've                  had enough of Hatchet Lake, Bellamy Lake is nearby. You could also go to Mirror Lake while you're here at Hatchet Lake; it's close by, and why not head up to Snowy Range and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is located in the wonderful Medicine Bow Mountains. The sight of stunning Medicine Bow Peak near Hatchet Lake is perfect; you can stay the night at Lewis Lake Campground. This lake is so wonderful. The stunning Snowy Range is here at Hatchet Lake, and going for a hike on the Lakes Trail is always a perfect adventure. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Medicine Bow Mountains.
