    It's always fun to stop by Hardpan Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can catch a glimpse of Citadel Mountain from Hardpan Lake; you can go for a hike on the Ishawooa Mesa Trail. It is very dehydrated here at Hardpan Lake ordinarily; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This place, Hardpan Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors cool stuff. Dry warm  
   beds await you at Cody Cowboy Village.
Shoshone River - North Fork is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Hardpan Lake, and don't leave Hardpan Lake without first going for a hike along the Table Mountain Trail. Having a tremendous time in the Absaroka Range is trouble-free. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shoshone River - South Fork; you can stay the night at Big Game Campground. Hardpan
 
               Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range.
During the warmest time of the year at Hardpan Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Hardpan Lake fall into the 10's. Going for a hike on the Ishawooa Trail is always a fine adventure, and Hanging Rock Campground is a tremendous campground here.
