This lake is so wonderful. Some close by water includes Hanes Fork. A nice spot to camp here at Hanes Reservoir is Cabin Creek Trailer Campground - Bighorn National Forest, and don't leave Hanes Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Story Penrose Trail. Lakes are such serene places, why not go to Menardi And White Reservoir in the neighborhood of Hanes Reservoir, and there are plenty of folks from Sheridan here.       This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Sheridan-Days Inn is a great choice, and tremendous hiking is available along the Stockwell Trail. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Menardi and White Dam is not far at all from Hanes Reservoir, and there's whitewater on Clear Creek for all you thrill seekers. During the warm days of summer highs here at Hanes Reservoir get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the                  50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hanes Reservoir are in the 0's. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Sheridan, and there's good hiking along the Penrose Park Trail. Hanes Reservoir is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Wagon Box Inn and Campground is a glorious local campground, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Clear Creek. Hanes Reservoir gets very little rain; most of the rain falls during May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.   Comfort Inn Sheridan, Sheridan 8 miles away 100 percent non-smoking hotel.
