Custom Search     Gustave Lake     I was told by my Grandmother (Olive Bentley) that this lake was named for her father Gustave States, the owner of the Canyon Ranch. He had homesteaded Sinks Canyon and the surrounding area, where my grandmother remained until just prior to her death in 1976 at the age of 96. Says William Bentley Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Sinks Canyon State Park is a pleasant location, and the Louis Lake Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby. Gustave     Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wind River Range.
