This lake is so wonderful. Not much rainfall falls here at Gunst Reservoir; May is the month that gets the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the State Line Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Beaver Creek Campground is a tremendous place to camp. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Gunst Reservoir. The Sage       And Sand Motel LLC is a magnificent place to get some rest, and not far from Gunst Reservoir you'll hit upon Baby Reservoir which is a delightful lake. Not far from Gunst Reservoir you acquire some perfect water scenery at Gunst Dam, and why not a little side trip to Antelope Creek. Why not camp at Lazy Acres Court while you're here at Gunst Reservoir, and there are other sites here than Gunst Reservoir, for example Verplanke Reservoir. Paddling on North Platte                  River is so much fun, and dry warm beds await you at CrossTimbers at Steamboat.
