Gunboat Lake is always a pleasure to visit. The Bighorn Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Man, is there a heap of enjoyable stuff to do in the vicinity of Gunboat Lake. On a pretty day you acquire a view of Bomber Mountain from Gunboat Lake; camping at Lake Creek Campground is always a perfect experience. So many cool things in the Bighorn Mountains, just striking. Get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Tensleep Creek; going for a hike on

| | the Mistymoon Trail is always a splendid adventure.
Near Gunboat Lake you locate Florence Pass which is a perfect place to visit; you can go for a hike on the Cliff Lake Trail. You'll hit upon a pretty lake called Florence Lake near Gunboat Lake, and brilliant hiking is available along the Solitude Trail. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Bighorn Mountains. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Big Horn Ski.

driest month of the year is February. Through the summertime months at Gunboat Lake temperatures are typically in the 60's, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Gunboat Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.
