So many entertaining things in the Bighorn Mountains, just impressive. A fine spot to camp here at Gunboat Lake is Island Park Campground, and naturally, this is a glorious area for folks who like lakes, Fortress Lakes is a lake close by. This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Bighorn Mountains. Gunboat Lake is glorious       enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Creek Campground is a glorious local campground, and wonderful scenery and splendid skiing is what you obtain at Big Horn Ski. Near Gunboat Lake you locate the Cliff Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Florence Lake. Be careful coming to Gunboat Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. Going for a hike on the Solitude                  Trail is always a pleasant adventure; Tensleep Creek is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Gunboat Lake is pretty dried out generally; the month with most of the snow is April while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. During the summertime at Gunboat Lake highs are commonly in the 60's while overnight lows are generally in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Gunboat Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.
