What a nice lake Gunboat Lake is. A visit to Florence Pass is always fun; if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Cliff Lake Trail. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. A nice panorama of charming Bomber Mountain is available from Gunboat Lake, and Tensleep Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby. This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains.

| | to do in the Bighorn Mountains. Gunboat Lake is not the only place nearby, West Tensleep Lake is a nearby lake, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Big Horn Ski. At Gunboat Lake all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 30's. just come on up to the Bighorn Mountains. A nice place to camp here at Gunboat Lake is Island Park Campground; in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Paintrock Creek.
This lake is
so wonderful. Camping at Lake Creek Campground is always a good experience; while you're here you can take a hike along the Mistymoon Trail. The Solitude Trail is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Gunboat Lake; a lake nearby
is Mistymoon Lake. Gunboat Lake is mostly a reasonably arid place; the month with most of the snow is April, and the driest month is February.
This lake is so wonderful.
