    Grayling Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Abandoned Lake, and if you need a place to stay Cary Inn is a nice choice. A great nearby hotel is Big Moose Resort. So much exciting stuff to do in the Absaroka Range, not enough time. Here at Grayling Lake you can spot Beartooth Butte, and if you come at the right time of year, Clarks  
   Fork Yellowstone River offers some magnificent whitewater.
This lake is so wonderful. Beartooth Falls is a delightful local attraction, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Beartooth Highlakes Trail. During the days of summer at Grayling Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's with night lows in the 30's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Grayling Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter
 
               nights. This place, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Why not camp at Beartooth Lake Campground since you're here at Grayling Lake, and float down the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River in a kayak.
Camping at Grayling Lake is great fun, Island Lake Campground is a great local campground; nearby you come across the Clay Butte Trail which is a good hiking trail. Places like Beartooth Plateau are brilliant to explore, and the Beauty Lake Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. Grayling Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range.
But wait, there's more to do near Grayling Lake. The slopes of Red Lodge Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and do pop by Little Bear Creek if you're here at Grayling Lake. Grayling Lake gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; throughout the month of June you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is October.
