Gray Reef Reservoir is located in the Granite Mountains. For the period of the warm months at Gray Reef Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. All through the winter highs are usually in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Gray Reef Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Gray Reef Reservoir you can take       a hike along the Bates Hole Stock Trail, and if you desire a little side spree, try Blue Gulch. This place, Gray Reef Reservoir, it just has so much outdoors fun stuff. Gray Reef Reservoir is not far at all from Casper. Get wet paddling on North Platte River, and after a long day outdoors Inn at Alcova is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Why not explore Gray Reef Dam if you're here, and Riverview Inn is a wonderful spot to get some rest. Around                  Gray Reef Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while January is regularly the driest month. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Granite Mountains. Take a side visit to Bear Spring Creek.
