If you like lakes and you're in this part of Wyoming you can check out Grave Lake. And that's not all you can do here in the Wind River Range. Baptiste Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out; the peak of Dike Mountain can be seen from Grave Lake. During the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Grave Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are usually

Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Bears Ears Trail
The Bears Ears trail is superb. My Sierra Club crew did a lot of trail work here near Mt. Chavenet, and built the replacement Moss Creek footbridge. The Washakie Ranger group are great!...

Ice Lakes

I went up there 15 years ago and just got back from another week this last weekend....the fishing was much, much better in the past. I think the WY Game and Fish spends all their golden trout stocking funds on wolves now. The stocking ended the year the wolves were reintroduced.........Hmmm, isn't that interesting! Also....too many llamas and horses bringing the light-weights up the mountain to clutter the place this time....the trails looked like a lost group of Custard's cavalry must still be riding the trails. :( But the beauty of the area will always remain. Thank you, Lord, for your beautiful handiwork....

Sonnicant Lake
Lake is centraly located in the saint lawrence basin lakes. Good views, makina (lake)trout mostly, easy 9 hour hike....

Papoose Lake
Lake seemed fishless although a beautiful lake. Was there 2 days and only saw 1 rise. Nice place to camp though as there is low traffic. Make sure you follow outlet to avoid massive rock pile....
