You're in all probability keen on lakes, Burnt Bacon Lake is one of those nearby, and nearby you locate the Granite Loop Trail which is a good hiking trail. Granite Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Granite Lake that you need to       camp here for a while, Hunter Peak Campground is a good spot for that, and going for a hike on the Upper Granite Loop Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Through the summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Granite Lake, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, mostly in the 30's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; night lows at Granite Lake during the winter commonly plunge into the 0's. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River; getting to Lake Creek from Granite Lake is easy. Granite Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is October. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more fun things to do here in the Absaroka Range. It's always brilliant to go to Park Rapids; Clarks Fork Yellowstone River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Granite Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Creek Campground, and Red Lodge Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff.
