The Tepee Creek Trail is a fine hiking trail right next door to Goose Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Wind River - East Fork. Goose Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Longhorn RV & Motel is a splendid local campground, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a glorious choice. During the days of summer at Goose Lake highs are typically in the 80's.       Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Goose Lake. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Goose Lake. There are some great whitewater spots on Wind River; Best Western Pinedale Inn is a magnificent location to get some rest. Not much rain falls here at Goose Lake; the month with most of the rain is June while February                  is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A good place to camp here at Goose Lake is Double Cabin Campground, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Indian Point Trail.
