Lake Golden is a lake worth visiting. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Big Horn Ski, and Tensleep Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. Lake Golden is located in the Bighorn Mountains. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Bighorn Mountains. The Edelman Trail offers hiking at its best; Lake Geneva Campground is a tremendous campground nearby.

Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Lake Golden. Take a hike on the North High Park Trail; you can stay the night at Coffeen Park Campground. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is good at Antelope Butte, and a glorious place to take a look at close by is Edelman Pass. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Lake
Golden. A pleasant close by hotel is The Passage Resort at Big Horn, and Lake Golden is right by the Cliff Lake Trail. At Lake Golden you don’t see much rain; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
