    A visit to Lake Golden is always a good idea. Lake Golden is pretty waterless usually; April is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month is February. Emerald Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Antelope Butte is rather near. The Bighorn Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
Having a good time in the Bighorn Mountains is uncomplicated. If you come at the right time of year, Tensleep Creek offers
 
   some great whitewater; going for a hike on the Cliff Lake Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Lake Golden, you could also stop at beautiful Devils Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Lake Golden. There are great spots to explore along the North High Park Trail; Edelman Pass is another tremendous spot to stop at close by.
For the period of the summer here at Lake
 
               Golden, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 60's, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Lake Golden sink into the 0's. There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Lake Golden called the Edelman Trail; The Passage Resort at Big Horn is a perfect place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Paintrock Creek in a kayak; a brilliant place to camp here at Lake Golden is Coffeen Park Campground.
But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. A day on the slopes of Big Horn Ski is just what you need; Lake Golden is good enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Geneva Campground is a good local campground.
