The Bighorn Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Golden Lakes is generally a quite waterless location; of all the months in a year April is the one with the most snow while February is commonly the driest month. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Bighorn Mountains. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Tensleep Creek. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. Dry warm beds       await you at Sheridan-Days Inn, and if you came to camp Lake Creek Campground is a glorious location to do that. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. There's so much to do here at Golden Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Highland Park Campground is a good site for that, and here at Golden Lakes you can observe Bomber Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Florence Pass is a delightful location to stop at close by; there is a tremendous                  hiking trail nearby called the Mistymoon Trail. Medicine Park is a scenic place any time of year, and you can go for a hike on the Solitude Trail. There are other places here than Golden Lakes, for example Florence Lake; going for a hike on the Cliff Lake Trail is always a great adventure. All through the days of summer, highs typically are in the 60's at Golden Lakes. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 30's.
