Up Camper Court Shop is a wonderful spot to camp nearby, and Best Western Pinedale Inn is a great place to get some rest. There are some great whitewater spots on Wind River; do go to Phillips Creek since you're here at Golden Lake.
The warmest time of the year at Golden Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Golden Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
