Glacier Lake is pretty arid mostly; April is the month that gets the most snow while February is frequently the driest month. Do visit Sapphire Lake near Glacier Lake, it's a scenic lake, and after a long day outdoors Wingate by Wyndham Sheridan WY is a delightful place to spend a night or two. This place, the Bighorn Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things. On a wonderful day you get a sight       of Black Tooth Mountain from Glacier Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Glacier Lake; Mistymoon Trail is a great local trail. Stay the night at Lake Geneva Campground, and great hiking is available along the Cliff Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Glacier Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Highland Park Campground is a great site to camp nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Solitude Trail. So many exciting                  things to do in the Bighorn Mountains, not sufficient time. And that's not all you can do here at Glacier Lake. There are some great whitewater spots on Tensleep Creek; South Piney Lakes is a nearby lake that you could stop at. At Glacier Lake during the warm months highs are in the 60's while night lows are usually in the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Glacier Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's.
