    What a nice lake Gem Lake is. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Bighorn Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Sheridan. Lakes? Sure, Cloud Peak Reservoir is around here. Good hiking is available along the Angeline Trail, and swing by Elk Creek it's a great place to go to. Gem Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
This lake is
 
   so wonderful. Lots of folks from Sheridan come to Gem Lake, and one of the main characteristics of the surroundings of Gem Lake is Ant Hill. This site, the Bighorn Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Gem Lake has to offer, you can camp at Circle Park Campground, and after a long day outdoors Sheridan-Days Inn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Highland  
               Park Campground; great water scenery is available at Cloud Peak Dam next to Gem Lake.
Just can't get enough of Gem Lake. Go for a hike on the Solitude Trail, and paddling on Clear Creek is so much fun. There's brilliant hiking along the Penrose Park Trail, and float down the rapids of Tensleep Creek in a kayak.
Gem Lake is located in the Bighorn Mountains. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 60's at Gem Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 30's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Gem Lake tend to be in the 0's.
