Summer at Gap Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's while Gap Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Some of the water close by flows, like East Du Noir Creek, and close by you locate the Du Noir Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Gap Lake has to offer, you can camp at Triangle C Ranch Snowmobile, and going for a hike on the Ramshorn Trail is always a delightful adventure. Gap Lake is typically a pretty dry place; through January this area sees the most snow,                  and the driest of the months is July. Paddling on Green River is so much fun; Best Western Pinedale Inn is a tremendous site to get some rest.
