If you come at the right time of year, Clarks Fork Yellowstone River offers some delightful whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Red Lodge. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff close to Frozen Lake. Very scenic scenery and great skiing is what you get at Red Lodge Mountain; Frozen Lake is right by the Lewis and Clark Trail. So       many amusing things in the Absaroka Range, just remarkable. Lakes? Sure, Black Stone Lake is in the neighborhood; there's fine hiking along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail. Throughout the summertime months, highs regularly are in the 70's at Frozen Lake with nighttime lows in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows through the winter for Frozen Lake tend to be in the 0's. The annual rain here at Frozen                  Lake is about average; most of the rain falls during June, and the driest of the months is October. There are some good whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River; the Beauty Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. And that's not all the things to do here in the Absaroka Range. At Frozen Lake you can catch a glimpse of Quintuple Peaks, and camping at Buena Vista Campground is always a great experience. A splendid place close to Frozen Lake is Beartooth Pass, and after a long day outdoors Cary Inn is a perfect location to spend a night or two. Frozen Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful.
