You could also pop by Wood Reservoir if you're here at French Reservoir; it's nearby, and Best Western Inn At Sundance is a nice place to get some rest. Not much rain falls here at French Reservoir; June is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Black Hills       is excellent! French Dam is an exciting thing to check out; Bear Lodge Campground is a delightful campground nearby. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to French Reservoir, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at French Reservoir dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. You clearly have to have a thing about French Reservoir. Why not take a                  refreshing hike along the Simmons Trail, and Mahoney Spring is an inspiring place to go to while you're here. French Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Black Hills. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Cook Lake is near French Reservoir; you can stay the night at Mountain View Campground. At French Reservoir you can see Bald Mountain; don't forget to take a wonderful little tour to Alkali Brook. A spree to Devils Tower National Monument is worthwhile. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Black Hills has to offer. French Reservoir is right by the Nilson Trail, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Devils Tower Inn is a good choice.
