Summer at Francis Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Francis Lake are in the-10's. Bull Lake Creek is a nice whitewater spot next to Francis Lake, and do take a hike on the Highline Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind River Range. And if       that's not enough there's heaps more cool stuff to do in the Wind River Range. Francis Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Scab Creek Campground is a good local campground, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Poston Meadows is right close by. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Francis Lake. After a long day outdoors Best Western Pinedale Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and you can have a good hiking adventure                  along the Hailey Pass Trail. At Francis Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. A gorgeous lake like Little Dads Lake right next door to Francis Lake is a pleasant place to check out, and Francis Lake is right by the Francis Lake Tail. This lake is so wonderful. Just can't get enough of the Wind River Range. The scenery at Boulter Dam close to Francis Lake is lovely. There's so much to do here at Francis Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Sandy Campground is a delightful location for that. Looking for some flowing water?
