    The beauty of Foster Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. You just have to love Foster Reservoir. Dry warm beds await you at The Cody, and Nina Dam is not far at all from Foster Reservoir. If you need a place to stay Cody Cowboy Village is a good choice, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Foster Reservoir; Timber Creek Trail is a great local trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range.
Foster Reservoir gets very little rainfall;
 
   through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Foster Reservoir through the months of summer are in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Foster Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Shoshone River; why not take a little spree to North Meeteetse Creek while  
               you're here.
And that's not everything there is to do here in the Absaroka Range. There's brilliant hiking along the Piney Creek Trail, and a journey to Pete Miller Park rejuvenates the soul. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Foster Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Jack Creek Trail. Camping at Yellowstone Valley Inn is always a fine experience. Lakes are great; Nina Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Foster Reservoir.
So many amusing things in the Absaroka Range, just inspiring. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Greybull River, and a good site to camp here at Foster Reservoir is TK's RV Park.
