The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. At Foster Number 3 Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Cody Cowboy Village is a perfect place to get some rest, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Jack Creek Trail. All year is a perfect time       in the Absaroka Range if you adore the outdoors. Going for a hike on the Piney Creek Trail is always a wonderful adventure; camping is available at Seven K's Motel. This lake is so wonderful. North Meeteetse Creek is a brilliant local stream; you can run the rapids of Greybull River. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Absaroka Range. Camping at Yellowstone Valley Inn is always a delightful experience, and dry warm beds await you at                  Americinn - Cody, Wy. That right there is plenty already, but it carries on; Foster Number 3 Reservoir has it all. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Shoshone River; there are brilliant locations to explore along the Timber Creek Trail. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Foster Reservoir, also Nina Dam is worth a visit if you're here. High temperatures at Foster Number 3 Reservoir through the summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's.
