It's always fun to stop by Fortress Lakes. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tensleep Creek; why not camp at Lake Geneva Campground if you're here at Fortress Lakes. Paintrock Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and don't leave Fortress Lakes without first going for a hike along the Mistymoon Trail. Just can't get enough of Fortress Lakes. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Bighorn Mountains rules! A splendid place to camp here at Fortress Lakes is Lake Creek Campground, and there's great hiking along the Cliff Lake Trail. All through the warm days of summer here at Fortress Lakes, high temperatures generally reach the 60's. All through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 30's. Daytime highs during the winter
are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Fortress Lakes. The Bighorn Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Near Fortress Lakes you come across Florence Pass which is a great place to pop by; the Solitude Trail offers hiking at its best.
