Paddling on Paintrock Creek is so much fun, and you can go for a hike on the Cliff Lake Trail. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Bighorn Mountains, too splendid to be true. Don't leave Fortress Lakes without first going for a hike along the Solitude Trail. Fortress Lakes is regularly a quite dried out place; April is the wettest month with most snow while February       is typically the driest month. If you came to camp Lake Creek Campground is a brilliant location to do that, and going for a hike on the Mistymoon Trail is always a good adventure. Man, is there lots of enjoyable stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. Tensleep Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Fortress Lakes is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Geneva Campground is a pleasant local campground. Be careful coming to Fortress                  Lakes, you might not ever wanna return back home again. A good place to pop by next to Fortress Lakes is Florence Pass, and while you're here, you could also have a look at pretty Gunboat Lake. At Fortress Lakes during the summertime months highs are in the 60's. Summer night lows dip down to the 30's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Fortress Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Big Horn Ski; Mistymoon Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to.
