    Fort Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Near Fort Lake you find the Lewis and Clark Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. An average amount of precipitation falls at Fort Lake; during June this area sees the most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. At Fort Lake during  
   the summer months highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Fort Lake.
Stay the night at Long Lake Campground, and Sawtooth Meadows is a pretty location any time of year. There is a wonderful hiking trail in close proximity to Fort Lake called the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail. There's so much to do here at Fort Lake that you need
 
               to camp here for a while, Island Lake Campground is a delightful site for that. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Fort Lake is excellent! After a long day outdoors Yodeler Motel is a fine place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Beauty Lake Trail is always a glorious adventure.
If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Absaroka Range. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is abundant here in the Absaroka Range. Head up to Red Lodge Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River.
