Fort Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Near Fort Lake you find the Lewis and Clark Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. | | the summer months highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Fort Lake. Stay the night at Long Lake Campground, and Sawtooth Meadows is a pretty location any time of year.
