It's always fun to stop by Floating Island Lake. Floating Island Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Absaroka Range rules! Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Yellowstone North, and The Cut is also a delightful spot to discover. It is very arid here at Floating Island Lake frequently; the month with most of the rain is May; February meanwhile is the driest month.

| | folks. Lost Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out; don't leave Floating Island Lake without first going for a hike along the Yellowstone River Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Floating Island Lake is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Tower Fall Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Coyote Creek Trail. Take a side journey to Elk Creek, and great hiking is available along the Buffalo Plateau Trail.
