Do stop by Fish Lake while you're in this part of Wyoming. Fish Lake is located in the Teton Range. At Fish Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most, and October is the month with the least moisture. Camping at Lizard Creek Campground is always a tremendous experience; get yourself into a kayak and hit Bitch Creek.

| | a day at, Cave Falls Campground is a nice local campground; the Bechler River Trail offers hiking at its best. Dry warm beds await you at Grand Targhee Ski And Summer Resort; hiking is a popular thing to do around Fish Lake; Union Falls Trail is a great local trail. You truly must go for the Teton Range. Calf Creek is in the neighborhood of Fish Lake and is always a joy to go to, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by | |

These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable things to do in the Teton Range. Not far from Fish Lake, you'll discover Loon Lake which is a picturesque lake, and a fine place like Falls River Basin here at Fish
Lake is too great to miss. Man, is there loads of amusing things to do near Fish Lake. If you need a place to stay Teton Valley Cabins is a delightful choice, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Bitch Creek. This lake
is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Old Marysville Road.
At Fish Lake through the warm months highs are in the 70's with night lows in the 40's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Fish Lake.

 | It's not a hard hike, but it is a long one, take time to swim in the hot springs near bye and take lunch at the fall so you can get back by sun down. It is grizzly area so watch out. A friend of mine spotted two cubs on one of her trips.... |

Lake Solitude Trail

July 18, 2008 Just got back from a hike to the lake yesterday. Always incredibly beautiful at any time of year (when the trail is open) A lot of flowers blooming earlier than usual because of the copious amount of melt. A bull moose, sow and calf near the trail just past the fork. The last half mile is covered in snow so that can slow you down a little. The lake is still almost completely iced over. Saw two 13'' fish (trout?) in the small, open area of the lake. Marmots snuck around our lunch spot hoping for a hand-out (don't feed anything). One of the most beautiful hikes around. If you think you're a strong hiker but haven't done many hikes or aren't used to the altitude, bring enough water for about a seven hour hike. Stronger hikers can make it in about 5 1/2 hours & seasoned hikers less--but count on a bottle of water (and Gatoraid) every hour.... |
