This lake is so wonderful. A great spot to camp here at Ernest Lake is Cave Falls Campground; if you need a site to stay Teton Mountain View Lodge is a magnificent choice. This lake is so wonderful. Ernest Lake is a location that is rather dried up typically; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month is July. Camping is available at Teton Mountain       View Lodge and RV Park, and a fine place for whitewater paddling is Bitch Creek. Very good water scenery is available at Bergman Lake Dam close to Ernest Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Grand Targhee Ski And Summer Resort. Going for a hike on the De Coster Trail is always a perfect adventure, and you're sure to come across some nice people from Jackson here. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Ernest Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend                  down into the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Ernest Lake are in the 0's. Grand Targhee is a very popular ski area around here, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the North Bitch Creek Trail. Be careful coming to Ernest Lake, you might not ever want to return home again.
