    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Emerald Lake. Good hiking is available along the North High Park Trail; a wonderful place is Edelman Pass. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at Antelope Butte, and don't leave Emerald Lake without first going for a hike along the Edelman Trail. Emerald Lake truly is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. There's good hiking along the Cliff Lake Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Lake Geneva Campground  
   is a great place to camp.
Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Emerald Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 30's. During the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Emerald Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay The Passage Resort at Big Horn is a brilliant choice; if you come at the right time of year, Tensleep Creek offers some fine whitewater. Be careful coming to the
 
               Bighorn Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. Coffeen Park Campground is a magnificent local campground.
This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. Emerald Lake gets very little rainfall; throughout April this area sees the most snow; February on the other hand is the driest. Yeah, come up here to the Bighorn Mountains for a good time. You can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Big Horn Ski, and soar down the rapids of Paintrock Creek in a kayak.
