Wind River - East Fork is a glorious whitewater spot in the vicinity of Elk Lake, and there are fine places to explore along the Wiggins Fork Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shoshone River - South Fork, and fine hiking       is available along the Indian Point Trail. And if you're still looking for more outdoors amusing stuff just keep reading. Why not stop at close by Caldwell Creek if you're here at Elk Lake, and Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a pleasant place to get some rest. Go for a hike on the Frontier Creek Trail, and camping at Double Cabin Campground is always a magnificent experience. Norton Point is an interesting spot to visit while at Elk Lake; a good location to camp                  here at Elk Lake is Longhorn RV & Motel.
