On a delightful day you obtain a sight of Avalanche Peak from Eleanor Lake, and you can stay the night at Pahaska Campground. Not much precipitation falls here at Eleanor Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Clear Creek Trail,       and after a long day outdoors Colter Bay Village is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Eleanor Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Threemile Campground is a great place for that; why not take a refreshing hike along the Mist Creek Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. During the summertime months here at Eleanor Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures                  fall down into the 30's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Eleanor Lake temperatures descend to the-10's.
