    Go to Echo Lakes if you want to go to a nice lake. So much cool stuff to do at Echo Lakes, so little time. Going for a hike along the High Meadow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; Echo Lakes is not the only spot close by, East Echo Lake is a close by lake. During the warm days of summer here at Echo Lakes, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. During the winter the  
   highs are ordinarily in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Echo Lakes. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind River Range.

Echo Lakes is a good site to visit for more than one day, Dickinson Creek Campground is a good site to camp nearby; if you want to pop by some interesting stuff, pop by Chimney Rock.                outdoors just come on up to the Wind River Range. If the weather is glorious here at Echo Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Pinto Park Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something in close proximity to Echo Lakes? West Echo Lake is close at hand; you can stay the night at Big Sandy Campground.
Have a great hiking adventure along the Ice Lakes Trail; soar down the rapids of Middle Popo Agie River in a kayak. A journey to Pinto Park invigorates the spirit, and a fine nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge. Echo Lakes is a location that is pretty waterless mostly; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest of the months is December.

Lake seemed fishless although a beautiful lake. Was there 2 days and only saw 1 rise. Nice place to camp though as there is low traffic. Make sure you follow outlet to avoid massive rock pile....

I went up there 15 years ago and just got back from another week this last weekend....the fishing was much, much better in the past. I think the WY Game and Fish spends all their golden trout stocking funds on wolves now. The stocking ended the year the wolves were reintroduced.........Hmmm, isn't that interesting! Also....too many llamas and horses bringing the light-weights up the mountain to clutter the place this time....the trails looked like a lost group of Custard's cavalry must still be riding the trails. :( But the beauty of the area will always remain. Thank you, Lord, for your beautiful handiwork....
