These mountains rock, just check out all the exciting things to do in the Wind River Range. The Pinto Park Trail offers hiking at its best. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things near East Echo Lake. A cool spot to stop at near East Echo Lake is Chimney Rock, and there's glorious hiking along the High Meadow Trail. East Echo Lake is mostly a rather dry location; May is when you get the most rain here, and       December is the month with the least moisture. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind River Range. East Echo Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Big Sandy Campground is a magnificent local campground; splendid hiking is available along the Ice Lakes Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to East Echo Lake. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's, and after the sun is down                  through the winter temperatures at East Echo Lake descend into the 10's. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Wind River Range. Lakes are such serene locations, why not stop at Coon Lake close to East Echo Lake, and Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge is a glorious place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at East Echo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dickinson Creek Campground is a wonderful site for that, and a trip to Pinto Park revitalizes the spirit.
