It is very arid here at Eagle Lake ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is May; January is the month with the least moisture. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shoshone River; since you're here you can take a hike along the Jack Creek Trail. You clearly have to go for Eagle Lake. Camping at Yellowstone Valley Inn is always a great experience, and whitewater       paddling is wonderful on Greybull River. If you need a site to stay The Cody is a wonderful choice, and on a great day you can take a hike along the South Piney Trail. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Eagle Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Eagle Lake fall into the 10's. Eagle Lake Dam is                  a beautiful site close to Eagle Lake, and camping is available at TK's RV Park. This lake is so wonderful.
