You're probably keen on lakes, Silver Lake is one of those close by, and don't leave Duncan Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Story Penrose Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Sheridan/Big Horn Mountains KOA is a great local campground; you'll probably meet some people from Sheridan here. Be careful coming to Duncan Reservoir, you might not ever want to return home       again. During the summer highs here at Duncan Reservoir reach the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Duncan Reservoir nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. You can take a little spree to Duncan Dam since you're here at Duncan Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at Sheridan-Days Inn. If you came for an overnight stay Peter D's RV Park is a wonderful location                  to camp, and there's good hiking along the Stockwell Trail. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Clear Creek, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Clear Creek. At Duncan Reservoir you don’t see much rain; May is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. Johnson Creek is a fine site to visit, and the Penrose Park Trail offers hiking at its best. Nearby lakes? Sure, Hanes Reservoir is in the neighborhood of Duncan Reservoir, and don't miss out on a brilliant swamp; Larison Swale is right here at Duncan Reservoir. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Duncan Reservoir.
