Do stop by Dry Lake while you're in this part of Wyoming. This lake is so wonderful. It's a great idea to check out Coal Creek, it's in close proximity to Dry Lake; drift down the rapids of Gros Ventre River in a kayak. Around Dry Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; January is when you get the most snow here; the driest month of the year is July. Just can't get enough of the Wind River Range. After a long day outdoors Colter Bay Village is a delightful location
to spend a night or two, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Ditch Creek.
Having a magnificent time at Dry Lake is trouble-free. Camping is available at Lava Creek Campground, and if you need a place to stay Togwotee Mountain Lodge is a splendid choice. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more enjoyable things to do in the Wind River Range. Going for a hike on the Two Ocean Lake Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and a good site to camp here

at Dry Lake is Colter Bay Village RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. There is a glorious hiking trail in the vicinity of Dry Lake called the Emma Matilda Lake Trail.
A tour to Grand Teton National Park is worthwhile, and if you've had enough of Dry Lake, Uhl Reservoir is nearby. There are splendid places to look at along the Hermitage Point Trail, needless to say you could also stop at Toppings Lakes while you're here; it's not far at all. The Wind River Range scenery is always beautiful.
Summertime highs at Dry Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. All through the winter highs are usually in the 20's while Dry Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.

Gros Ventre Campground
12 miles away
Gros Ventre (pronunced GROW-VONT)Campground in Grand Teton National Park is not to be missed. Moose viewing is spectacular, as well as hearing wolves, coytoes, and the sounds the Bison make walking through the campground. Depending on your campsite, try to be close the the Gros Ventre River for Moose viewing, or try to go towards the town of Kelly, for the most magnificent views of the Teton Range....

Jenny Lake Campground
13 miles away
We love Jenny Lake and want to camp their with our family and friends...4 kids, 4 adults.  I am worried about not having reservations....is that a problem?...Jenny Lake Campground was awesome. The view was amazing. It was quite and secluded, the camp store is just a short walk from the camping sites. The lake is beautiful and quiet, no boats zipping around. We stayed at site #50, other sites that I would recommend are 45,46 and 47. These sites have the best view. The best thing was the FLUSH toilets. If you want a vacation away form all of the touristy things you should definitly stay at Jenny Lake. If you get there in the afternoon grab a site. You can always move the next day. It seemed like a lot of people only stayed 1 night....
