Yeah, come here to Downey Lakes for a great time. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn-Laramie; Hohnholz Lakes Campground is a delightful campground nearby. For the period of the long summer days at Downey Lakes highs are generally in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's while       Downey Lakes nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Downey Lakes is right by the Lower Nunn Creek Trail; why not a little side trip to Dry Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Laramie River near Downey Lakes; while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Laramie. There are other locations here than Downey Lakes, for example Lone Tree Reservoir Number 2, and there's great hiking along the Killpecker                  Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not much precipitation falls here at Downey Lakes; July is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture.
